During the show, Kelly D was able to turn dogs into different animals despite not doing that before. She said: “The little ice cream that I did for the Asian freestyle was something I’d never done before. Oh, and my gorilla cut. We had to turn our dogs into a different animal and I decided to go for something that no one has ever done before.”
“Being able to bring my skills to a high profile TV show, and being watched by so many people, was something I never thought would be possible.”
Kelly D hopes young people will be inspired by her story and begin dreaming big while also proving that they can achieve their dreams.
“I would love to inspire youngsters to dream big, and prove they can achieve them!”
Although the idea behind pooch perfect is to put 16 professional dog groomers from around the country to the test and find the top dog groomer to win the golden Stanley trophy, the show has come under huge criticism. People are worried that Pooch Perfect can set bad example for pet owners with no experience in dog grooming but, the BBC has defended the show by saying that grooming is a healthy and necessary part of responsible dog ownership particularly with certain breeds.
