Lewis Hamilton is one of those people who love animals so much. Whether it's strolling with his dog, Roscoe, or advocating for meat-less diets – the F1 legend is as friendly as the animals he loves spending time with.
Before entering into the new Formula 1 season, Hamilton has traveled to Antarctica, which he describes in one clip as ‘the most beautiful place I’ve ever been.'
And in another, the seven-time world champion is seen running through the snow before panning round to show some penguins in shot.
One sea lion is even kind enough to look up for the camera as Hamilton turns his phone around to show the incredible backdrop.
“Out for a run here,” he says before showing his new friends. “Penguins! Hey, guys.”
“It’s a beautiful storm, guys.”
Hamilton has long been applauded by many animal rights organisations for inspiring his legions of fans to follow his lead, jump-start their own energy levels, and spare animals’ lives by going vegan.
And Antarctica is just another stop after a year that saw him training with surfing legend Kelly Slater, as well as solo skydiving in between races.
That cold weather training may come in handy for the 37-year-old, while many of his rivals take to warmer climates to prepare for the season which kicks off in Bahrain on March 3.
Before that, though, there’s testing at the Sakhir circuit from February 24 to 26, while Hamilton and George Russell’s W14 challenger will be launched on February 15.
Whether the penguins will be around for the Mercedes unveiling is yet to be announced.
