One of the first humans to land on the surface of the moon just tied the knot in a small ceremony, marrying “long time love ” Dr. Anca V Faur.
Aldrin shared the heartfelt message with his Facebook fans after tying the knot, saying: “On my 93rd birthday & the day I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur & I have tied the knot. We were joined in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles & are as excited as eloping teenagers.”
The post received 53,000 Facebook “likes” and “loves” by Saturday and was accompanied by several photos of the newlyweds.
Aldrin, who made history along with Neil Armstrong as the first humans to set foot on the surface of the moon on July 20, 1969, clocked 93 on Friday.
