Others showed excitement for the catch, “He looks so happy hahaha so awesome to see this! I didn't know we had fish like these up here!”
The photos shared by the agency appears to be that of a golden puffer or botete dorado.
Golden puffer is known for its heavy rounded body and bright yellow colour.
They're widely distributed across the central Indian and Pacific Oceans from Africa, throughout Micronesia, and to the Eastern Pacific south to Ecuador.
The species are currently considered to be of Least Concern with stable, widely distributed populations.
Pufferfish are known for puffing up when threatened. They take water into their mouths in a big mouthful of water, and then they pump it down into their stomach.
