The newly elected United States president, Joe Biden who injured his foot while playing with one of his German Shepherds is recovering.
The 78-year-old president-elect was in high spirit when he visited Pennsylvania hospital on Saturday morning to carry out a follow-up test.
According to his physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor, the result of Biden's weight bearing CT scan is “Very encouraging.”
The statement from the president-elect's physician also added that one small fracture is healing as expected while another is barely detectable.
Joe Biden is a pet-friendly president, he has two dogs - Champ and Major.
Champ isn't new to the white house. In fact, he was living there with the Bidens when he was the vice president under Barack Obama. However, Major who happened to join them in 2018 will only have the opportunity to get to the white house after the inauguration in January, 2020. Major will be the first rescue dog to be in the white house after the inauguration.
The white house will once again become a pet-friendly place after four years as the president-elect is planning to bring in a cat.
As he returned to his home in Wilmington, Delaware after a successful medical checkup, we wish him a full recovery.
